Author Interview – Aditi Bose

Aditi

Aditi Bose is a published author living in New Delhi, India. I spent some with her recently, and asked her about her writing processes. Below is the outcome of the interview:

MSS: Aditi,  can you tell me, why do you write?
Aditi: Writing helps me to de-stress. It keeps my mind off issues that worry me or make me sad.
MSS: What has had influence on your writing?
Aditi: Not really what. More of who. As a child my mother read out Enid Blyton to me and my grandmother told me various stories that are a part of Bengali folklore. But father was the one who actually made up stories. That I think has been my greatest influence.

MSS: Who are some of your favourite authors?
Aditi: I love reading Danielle Steele. The way she paints feelings through words is incomparable. And being a Bengali, I have grown up on Satyajit Ray’s Feluda series of books. No other detective tale comes.
MSS: What is your latest publication and where can it be purchased?
Aditi: The title of my latest publication is Hama-Guri goes to school. It is a collection of five short stories for children. It is ideally suited for children who have begun to read fairly well. Of course, the younger ones would love it too if read out by the parent.
It is currently available on Amazon and can be purchased using this ‎link –

MSS: What are you working on next?
Aditi: My next is a romantic novel. But it’s not the normal chic-lit’s or the erotica based novels that have begun to flood the market lately. You shall know where the twist is once it releases. *smiles*.
MSS: Tell me a little about KiddieStory365?
Aditi: Kiddie Story 365 is my blog. Www.kiddiestory365.com. It has stories that kids can read / be told 365 days a year. Hence the name. It also has various feature pieces that tells of ways and mean parents can make children read / write / tell stories better and in a fun manner.
MSS: Where can you be found online (links)?

‎MSS: Thanks for your time do you have anything you would like to add?
Aditi: For all those of you who get a copy of the book, do let me know your thoughts. Flowers or brickbats – I’m ready for both. But would love to hear from you.
